SCENARIO

An educational toy company, “Toyz Am We!” is looking for a new toy that will revolutionize the toy market. Your job is to design a toy based on physics that you

feel will be widely in demand and increase revenue for the company.

In this assignment, you will work to design a toy based on some topic(s) of physics, construct a working model of the toy, and create an advertisement campaign, complete with a title and slogan. Your compensation for the project, in this case, your grade, will depend on how you perform the following four aspects of the project and the quality of your deliverables for each aspect: 

ASPECTDELIVERABLE

1. Design of a ToyThe design of the toy must be:

a. Original and creative.

b.  Constructed out of widely available parts that do not

            pose a danger to the consumer.

c. Able to perform at least one process, movement, or function.

d. Based on some topic(s) of physics. Under $25 to produce.

2. Working Model   Report must include:

   of the Toy:      a.  How the idea for the toy arose.

- Report      b. The Physics behind the toy’s function.

- Toy     c. The parts involved in the toy.

d. Instructions for the toy.

e. A neat labeled diagram of the toy.

f. Bibliography

3. Toy Marketing AdYour ad must:

a. Clearly state what the toy is, what it does and its features.

b. The ad may be in print (poster), a 30-second radio spot,

    or a 30-second TV spot.

4. PowerPoint   PowerPoint presentation must include the following slides:

Presentation      Slide 1: Title slide with names of team

Slide 2: Description of your toy and the projected audience

Slide 3: Materials required to construct toy and budget summary

Slide 4. Labeled diagram (you may use a digital photo here)

Slide 5: At least 3 digital photographs of the toy from different

       angles.
